Editing / Copy Editing Service

An English language specialist will: edit the document for spelling, grammar, punctuation and other mechanics of the English language; polish and lift language to a certain extent; check layout and formatting basics and indicate major problems; cross reference citations; correct bibliographies and reference lists to a certain extent (Harvard is used as the default referencing style, but other styles have also been worked on over the years and please specify your preference in this regard). Where problems are repetitive and severe and amount to re-writing or re-typing, this will be indicated to the client in the editing commentary.

Editing is done on-screen using the Microsoft Word track changes (red-line) tool. Simply forward the documents via e-mail, the Google shared drive or Dropbox and they will be received safely.

Please forward the document or the document word count if you would like a formal quotation for editing.

Proofreading Service

An English language specialist will check final proofs for: minor mechanical errors, typos and minor formatting and layout problems. The proofreading service is offered only to academics and publishers in respect of documents that have already undergone a thorough edit and proof must be provided, in order to prevent problems with the second-round proofread.

Please forward the document or the document word count if you would like a formal quotation for proofreading.

Re-Writing / Over-Writing Service

The re-writing / over-writing service is offered for documents that are so poorly constructed as to require re-writing / over-writing. The service encompasses the editing service, plus correction / re-writing / over-writing / enhancement and polishing of the entire text.

Please forward the document or the document word count if you would like a formal quotation for re-writing / over-writing.
